Equipping African storytellers to inform, challenge and inspire.

Acquire by Pin Africa is Pin Africa’s journalism training and media development initiative. We have supported emerging African journalists and storytellers through self-paced courses, practical training and opportunities to develop public-interest reporting.

Our work puts African voices, knowledge and lived experience at the centre of storytelling. By strengthening the skills and confidence of those telling Africa’s stories, we help build a more informed public and a stronger independent media.

Who we are

Who we are and why we do this

We believe African stories deserve depth, context and the agency of the people who live them. Acquire grew from Pin Africa’s commitment to independent journalism with an authentic African voice, giving emerging storytellers access to skills, resources and practical experience.

Our mission is to strengthen African journalism by equipping storytellers to produce credible, compelling work that serves their communities. We believe free and independent media are essential to peaceful, prosperous and democratic societies.
